我很愛音樂, 尤其是現場收音, 例如演唱會之類的. 因為在那其中可以感受樂手們即興的表演, 音樂的編制也與錄音室的版本有所不同~樂手在表演時所產生的火花與笑聲更是我最愛的元素.  我也愛死去的音樂人, The 27 club (指的是27歲就早逝的音樂人們)更是最愛的~最近每天都要聽這個俱樂部的最新會員 Amy Winehouse 唱歌.. 最愛的一首歌之一"Our Day Will Come" 收錄於他死後才發行的 Lioness: Hidden Treasures.

坂本九（1941年12月10日－1985年8月12日）
坂本九出生於神奈川縣川崎市，本名為大島九，是家中最小的成員。其父母均在餐館中工作。
坂本九於高中時開始唱歌。1958年，他加入了日本樂隊「The Drifters」成為主音。《何時都有明天》（明日があるさ）是他的名曲之一。並於2001年由日本樂隊Ulfuls翻唱。
1963年，發表《昂首向前走》（上を向いて歩こう），獲得歷史性的巨大成功，也是他的生涯代表作。
1971年，他和演員柏木由紀子結婚，並誕下兩名女兒，分別是大島花子和大島舞子。
他於公益工作方面也不遺餘力，他在日本是十分為小孩、長者及殘障人士熱誠服務。「何時都有明天」也是1964年東京傷殘人士奧運會的主題。
1985年8月12日，坂本九搭乘日本航空123號班機往大阪時遇上空難身亡，終年43歲。在飛機墜毀前的數分鐘，他寫下了與妻柏木由紀子的訣別書。

Chelsea morning --- 想去紐約的唯二理由

從來沒有特別想去美國, 如果有的話,第一個理由就是去New York的 Blue Notes 聽音樂, 第二個理由就是去 New York 的 Chelsea Hotel 朝聖. Joni Mitchell 跟 Leonard Cohen 分別做了一首歌紀念這家旅館, Cohen 常常在這裡跟 Janis Joplin偷情,  John Lennon 跟 Yoko Ono 的裸體抗議也是在這裡舉行. 聽說 Cliton 跟 Hillary 也是因為這家旅館而把女兒取名為 Chelsea (雀兒喜) . 你看看, 這麼有紀念性的 Chelsea Hotel 一生不去住一次就可惜了!!!!

Prayers

We went to the charity concert "Sing for Home" one week after Moraket striked, the concert was to spiritually and financially support the victims of the aftermath. Until now, hundreds of people are still in life-and-death situtaion.
During this moment of chaosity, we witness how one government reveals its ugly corruption and how strangers group up to offer hands. We see both the darkest and the brightest part of humanbeings, but we are glad that we see more good deeds from this catastrophy.

We hope the death from typhoon Moraket rest in peace and courageous souls be with the survivals.

Chelsea Hotel No.2

Janis Joplin, 我最愛的歌手, 在60年代發光發熱,然後在1970年27歲時死於服藥過量.
由於怠惰的緣故,花了近一週的時間完成才A4 size的素描...
在這期間反覆播放的音樂是Leonard Cohen的Chelsea Hotel No.2. Cohen 與 Joplin間有短短的一段情,在Janis 過世後,Cohen 寫了這首既露骨又羅曼蒂克的Chelsea Hotel No.2紀念Janis Joplin. 有一段時間, 我甚至想到紐約的Chelsea Hotel去朝聖,感受一下Janis給 Leonard "a head"的氛圍.

The Rainbow connection

有關彩虹的歌曲有好多: Over the rainbow(Judy Garlan), 彩虹(紀曉君 , 龍哥)是最被傳唱的....找到了1979年的一首歌曲,近來被Sarah McLachlan 重唱放進專輯裡..
但是, 79年的版本卻是芝麻街的Kermit青蛙唱的呢!!!
無論如何,彩虹對孩子而言是天空一道美麗的七彩,對大孩子的我則是一個遙遠的夢想

天很冷,雨下個不停....在無眠的夜,我安靜地彈吉他等待春天來訪....

一個小小回憶

小週末的晚上,乖乖地回家(其實是提了太多讓心情變好的戰利品)也藉機當個娛親的孝女。 反正, 之後就是把這幾天一直在腦海裡獨奏很久的 Bill Evans "Waltz for Debbie"專輯翻出來聽。當聽到"I loves you Porgy"時我想到了Billie Holiday. 這首歌是由Gershwin(蓋希文)創作的Porgy and Bess音樂劇出來的,但我想"summertime"才是最令人琅琅上口的。很多JAZZ樂手玩過"I loves you Porgy".但我還是最愛Lady Day的版本---不造做不煽情,只有一抹淡淡的哀傷與不甘。

幾個月前獨自去了泰國,那並不是一個很好的經驗---尤其對一個初次造訪泰國的旅行者而言。我呆在充斥了金錢色欲與愛情糾結的華欣好幾天,雖然每天往海邊 跑但也趕不走那些原本就活在陰暗角落的原罪。後來坐著搖搖晃晃的公路巴士,我到了以背包客聞名的曼谷Khao San Road區。其實..它和華欣沒啥不同,只是較特意隱藏它的陰暗面吧! 因為厭惡的緣故,夜晚的時間我常待在我的小房間開著電視陪我畫畫讀書。因為這樣我和 Billie Holiday 的紀錄片相遇,那是英國BBC的一個特別製作節目; 我從BBC 重溫了我所知道的Billie Holiday 的童年,少女時期,死亡和她坎坷(爾是自作自受??)的愛情路。我猜想,每個藝術家都在找尋一個讓自己狂放的出口。而Billie Holiday 的出口就是一次一次地與壞男人相遇相戀,因為這樣才造就了我們的Lady Day。但是又如何?? Billie Holiday 的心靈伴侶Lester Young在她巡迴英國時因病過世,而Billie 在回美參加喪禮後的兩個月也抑鬱而終。
雖然,Billie 在生前一直強調與Lester 的關係是"柏拉圖的"(Plantonic)。但是..是有很深沉的愛情在裡面的-----我想。

總之,我初次的泰國之旅給我最大的收穫就是Billie Holiday。她讓我想起我 20歲時剛認識她的初衷。

沖繩的爵士

幾年前獨自到沖繩旅行,遇到了一群爵士樂手
我還記得和 tenor sax Yoda 談著Chet Baker, Charlie Paker然後暗暗地崇拜著那麼有才華,曾在法國流浪的但又沒有日本大男人氣息的Yoda. 那種沒有肉欲的交會與心動似乎才最值得珍視的回憶.

其中有幾個樂手至今還保持聯絡,可惜不包括Yoda...夏初,OJA來台北演出,和他們的再相聚又勾起了不少懷念...那個Yoda先生,我知道還在南島活躍.

時間飛逝,當年三十出頭的他,算算也已經四十歲了.而我也不是當初那個單純的小妹妹了.不過,歲月對有些人並沒有刻畫任何痕跡....那霸寓話的老闆 屋良先生,鼓手Drum PaPa到目前為止都沒變,或許當年我就覺得他們是長輩吧(笑!!)

今夜我把寓話的CD拿出來聽,算是重溫舊夢也算是預習..Satin Doll,When Sunny Gets Blue, Isn’t She Lovely....不久的將來,當我再造訪寓話時,一定要記得點幾年前我點過的Slow Boat to China.....
